The most powerful control system on the market today, the Base Station is the main controller for all other SCD2012 modules found in a Star Ceiling setup.
It's 'USB port-powered', making it possible to power it up and run it PC-free between programming sessions!
The base controls other modules in your Star Ceiling wirelessly via a special RF protocol that won't interfere with your other wireless devices.
Program the base while it's connected to your PC, using the free software included.
The software gives you easy access to module settings from within it's fully-animated, easy-to-understand Graphic User Interface. It's equipped with a IR Sensor, so you can set up custom IR codes to control modules via standard universal remote (or API for developer applications).
Every function you program using the software can be mapped to a button on your universal remote control, making it possible to switch between modes simply by pressing the button you set up (for example, if you have your base connected to the Twinkle module, the Moon module, and a Shooting Star module, you can set it up to show the night sky with stars when you press '1', press '2' to add your Moon, and '3' for a dramatic Shooting Star to fly across your sky!)
It can handle up to 20 modules out-of-the box, and up to 254 with custom firmware. This allows a large range of star ceiling and optic fiber light effect installations ranging in size from smaller (residential) to larger (corporate).
The Base Station itself has no fiber ports. It is for controlling 1 to 20 of these modules:
