SCD2012 Base Station Setup Last Updated 11/18/2009
Do you have the Software and driver installed and set up ? If not, start here.
Now it's time to turn on the power supply from the modules, so they can start up. The modules will come on in initial settings, which you can change in the software.
You also need to set up your remote to use Sony codes (more info here).
Step 1 - Starting the Serial Server To start the serial Server go to the installation folder, then into the folder named 'serproxy-0.1.1-win32', and 'double-click' the file named 'serproxy.exe'.
It will open a program window, which you just minimize to the task bar.
Step 2 - Power Up the Modules Now power up the modules. Depending on how you have installed the power supply (more info here), you just switch it on over the recommended wall switch. Please double-check the wiring to the modules for wrong polarity (more info here). If all is OK, each module should come on in its preset mode, which can be changed later.
Step 3 - Start the SCD2012 Software Now you can start the SCD2012 Software from the Icon on your desktop or in your Start/ All Programs/ SCD2012 Software . The software will start and try to find the modules first, and then the settings of each module; this process can take several seconds. When done, this Message Box should disappear. Now you should just see the 'Modules' tabs, and the 'Setup' tab, on your screen, as in this picture. The number of 'Modules' you'll see listed depends on the number of modules you have connected. (This picture shows 18 modules).
