What is a Luminous Sky Ceiling or Skylight?
The Luminous Sky Ceiling uses a stretch ceiling material which is a kind of a membrane, along with a backlighting system that creates the illusion of looking up to the sky. The High Definition print on the membrane, has a dimension and depth which makes one believe, that he is staring into an open sky. The illusion is so perfect that you can just gaze up at this sky and relax.
How does it work?
Luminous Sky Ceiling uses a superior backlighting LED system, which correctly diffuses the light to fall on the membrane of the stretch ceiling which has the HD print of the sky. The membrane is usually made of Polyvinyl chloride and is very light in weight, and is the perfect surface for the HD print. The lighting and the print are such that they create a depth, similar to what you would experience if you were staring up at a real sky.
Types of Luminous Sky Ceilings & Skylight Prints
There are many different types of HD prints of the sky available, and you can also have a custom print made for you. You can also make this ceiling to your own custom size or can go for the regular sizes which range up to 8 x 8 feet. The LED lighting can be controlled with a controller which is provided, and you can simulate the different intensities of sun light that you prefer.
